Do I need a registered draftsperson for my job?

Depending on the purpose of your drafting requirements, you do not need a registered professional to complete your tasks such as projects that do not involve authority approvals. However, if you are building anything that requires permits such as a building permit, you will need a registered professional to produce the drawings.

Do I need a planning permit or a building permit?

It is not always straight forward which permit you may need, so it is best to consult your local council for permit requirements as the rules and regulations can vary significantly. Make sure you get your response in writing as evidence so you don’t get caught out.

Can I get a planning permit with through QuikDraft?

Yes – you can get planning permits from drawings that QuikDraft provides. We can also assist in the submission of the application for a small fee. Most applications will need more information other then the architectural drawings so it would be up to the client to gather any other necessary information to fulfill your council requirements.

We can not however guarantee the approval of the permit as this is up to the discretion of the appointed town planner of your local councilor.

Can I get a building permit with through QuikDraft?

Yes – you can submit for building permits from drawings that QuikDraft provides. We can also assist in obtaining the permit by acting as your agent for a small fee.

Does my project need a site visit?

Although understanding the subject site of your project is very important, to save you cost, some projects do not need a site visit from a professional as long as you as the client is happy to provide the necessary information such as measurements, drawings and photos. You can contact us for more information on whether your project would need a site survey conducted.
